Getting Your Feet Wet
Updated: Aug 7, 2021
Are you nervous about starting new things or making changes? Most of us experience some apprehension when we have to make changes; especially those changes that have a major affect on our lives. The key to making a successful change is to take it slow…start by getting your feet wet. Think of your new change as learning how to swim.
When learning how to swim, you first start with putting your feet into the water. Following your feet will be your legs and so on. Once you put your entire body into the water, you will learn the techniques needed to breathe under water, move your arms and legs through the water, and stay afloat.
As you swim, you will move from the shallow water to deeper water. You will find that the change will get easier as time goes on, as you take small reasonable steps, and allow yourself to become more comfortable with the process. Don’t worry. Get your feet wet. The water is fine!
Live, laugh, love, and pray.
